Welcome to www.horse-artist.com! I am a professional equine and pet portrait artist. I specialise in handmade, life-like custom horse portraits - my mediums are pastels, graphite, charcoal and coloured pencils. My artwork hangs on walls in horse lovers' homes all over the world as commissions are accepted internationally. Your horse portrait is drawn from the photos you send me (by e-mail or by snailmail) so you can choose your favourite pose, that special 'look' that is so typcial of your equine friend and that you love the most. I am able to combine different photos in order to create that perfect portrait of your horse or pony. I welcome any breed - whether it is a Shetland pony mare, a Thoroughbred foal, a Welsh pony gelding or a Shire horse stallion. I love them all and will enjoy drawing them for you.
I thoroughly enjoy drawing pets and wildlife, with horses and ponies being my favourite subject. I think it takes a lot more than artistic ability to create a good horse portrait which touches the heart and which will be a lasting memory of your special friend. Horses are not easy to draw - yet I feel I have got the ability as well as the knowledge and, what is more, love of all things equine which enable me to draw your horse the way you see it. I have been drawing horses since I was 3 years old, proudly presenting my Mum with a new drawing every day. All of my portraits are drawn with love. I like to find out about my 'models' and 'connect' with them while I'm drawing. I have loved, ridden and lived with horses all my life and know how you feel about yours. I love being in the saddle as much as just watching horses play and enjoy their life or any other way of spending time with them, grooming them or going for walks. You just can't be unhappy around horses. |
